Farm milk prices now looking good November 2020 over $23/C.W.T.. However with almost 8.7 million cows it is getting “a little crowded” around here. Nothing wrong with making milk but too much of nearly anything can be harmful. Likewise we want to see $20 and milk prices stay don’t we? Many are adding cows take tip from oil industry, cut back until prices rise and help to maintain them, by not over producing.
Let’s follow their good example; cull cows now, too many cows means too much milk. Everyone cull 5% of herds now then 2%/month after $30/C.W.T. milk is possible but only if proper culling occurs. Start today! Cull more cows now!
