I wouldn’t want to be a police officer today even if you paid me 100 million per year! The stress of protecting people has to be “live shorting” for them. I’ve never heard of a 100 year old former law enforcement officer. In a split second they must decide if to shoot, Taser someone, or handcuff or just smile and offer advice/comfort/lifesaving aid.
Former police officer Derek Chauvin of Minneapolis, MN was not right in restraining a crazed drug induced George Floyd by placing his knee upon George Floyd’s neck and jutting off his breathing for over 9 minutes killing George Floyd. It should grieve us all for this cruel, unnecessary death of a fellow human being.
Officer Chauvin was trying to restrain not to kill Mr. George Floyd. Couldn’t he have Taser handcuff then shackle his legs. How can George Floyd now make restitution for his alleged crime of passing counterfeit money? How can he now repent of his sin and trust Jesus Christ by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ? I shudder to think of Mr. Floyd might be in hell right now. However, where will former officer of the blue Chauvin be in eternity a thousand years from now? We need to pray for comfort and healing of the Floyd family and for Derek Chauvin now facing a long prison sentence; for his salvation or grace to admit his wrong and ask for forgiveness of the Floyd Family.
What’s the answer to the needless killing of George Floyd and many others regardless of color, black, red, tan, yellow, and white etc.? Reading God’s Word the Bible daily and coming to repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection form the dead as only way to get their sins washed away forever and eternal security in Heaven.
I doubt neither Mr. Floyd or Chauvin ever read the Bible daily for 20 years or more. Every child in the world should have a Bible by age 10 then teach them how to read and use it. “Treat others the way you want to be treated” Matt. 7:12 (the golden rule) Then: “faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
If any man is in Christ he is a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). Go check death row how many there read the Bible every day from age 10 till now? I believe not even one ever! Give out the Bible and the gospel tracts and watch the amount of crime drops. Lives changed for good!
