You must protect your farm today; remember the “Mad Cow” outbreak nearly 30 years ago? Only one cow brought in this highly infectious disease and shut down the livestock trade boarder between U.S.A. and Canada.
Make sure they are taking practicing good herd health and bio-security. Another key area is all visitors even all employees and suppliers should be offered disposable plastic boots or at least wash their boots/shoes when arriving and leaving. That is not to make more work for you but to protect your valuable livestock investment from great loss. Don’t forget owners and managers this is for your protection on shoes and boots as well.
