Don’t shortchange your calves. Exciting Penn State studies now confirm whole milk fed calves produce 3-4000 lbs more milk as first calf heifers than their counterparts fed milk replacer. If concerned about disease transmission, use a farm pasteurizer. Whole milk: it’s what God the Creator intended the calf to have. With the better results, it is cheaper in the long run.
